Reliable process cranes are decisive component for the cost-effectiveness of their related industry at every stage of the process from manufacturing to assembly and shipment. Rail stability

• Gantrex’ RailLok™ design ensures full and tight contact between the upper component of the clip and rail foot. Coupled with the self-locking wedge, it keeps the tightened clip bolts in tension.
• The RailLok™ pad’s specific grooves and edge design prevents damage or movement of the pads resultant from rail twisting and the bow wave effect, almost completely eliminating the risk of premature pad weakening ensuing from dirt ingress.

RAIL PAD

Patented pads, covering all applications

Combined with the GANTREX® clips, GANTREX® patented pads are at the core of soft-mount crane rail solutions and prove essential to reduce shocks and vibrations in rail systems. Our pad range covers all rail profiles and includes continuous and discontinuous pads.

Laid between the rail and its support, the pad ensures the load distribution over a larger surface, the elimination of load concentrations and ensuing fatigue stresses, the centering of loads on the supporting element, the absorption of uneven contact surfaces between rail and support, and the reduction of wear of the rail and its support.

The GANTREX “double-crown” RailLok™ series patent pending pad is specifically designed to perform integrally with the RailLok™ series clips for the soft mounting of rails.

New features

• Eliminate the ingress of dirt and water.
• Improve the compression created by the nose of the clip.
• Avoid high stresses and pad damage caused by crane oscillation and rail twisting.

All old features have been maintained:

• Distribute the wheel load over a larger surface area.
• Eliminate point load concentration and resultant fatigue stresses.
• Compensate for the uneven surface between the rail and its support.
• Reduce impact, vibration and noise.
• Eliminate fretting corrosion (wear) of the support surface under the rail.Material: synthetic rubber reinforced with a steel strip.
• Shore A hardness: 75 ± 5.
• Tensile strength: minimum 10.5 N/mm2.
• Elongation: minimum 200 %.
• Permanent set : < 20 %.

Resistant to: wear, shear and crushing, as well as oil, grease, ultra violet rays (and ozone).

Service temperature is between -25°C and +100°C.

A noise reduction of approximately 10% and vibration reduction up to 48% can be expected.

Patented pads, covering all applications

GANTREX® MK2.0 pads have been specially designed for the discontinuous soft mounting of rail on

concrete using GANTREX® chairs and rail fixing clips.

GANTREX® MK2.0 pads:

• eliminate the load concentrations at the edge of the chair plate:

– their chamfered edges reduce the stress concentrations;

– pressures under the chair are reduced;

– the concrete is protected from cracking.

• reduce rail and chair wear:

– absorb uneven surfaces;

– improve contact between rail and chair.

• manufactured in thermoplastic elastomer and feature lugs to prevent longitudinal slippage.
• especially resistant to wear, shear, crushing, oils, greases, ozone, oxygen, as well as ultra-violet rays.

CABLE PROTECTION SYSTEM – TRENCHLOK™

The GANTREX TrenchLok™ cable protection system efficiently and economically protects cranes’ power cables from damages and problems caused by crossing vehicles traffic in ports and steel mills. The cables are also sheltered against debris entering the trench and adverse weather conditions. In addition, it eliminates tripping hazards for pedestrians. Our cable protection system is made of multiple components:

• The GANTREX TrenchLok™ cable trench cover – a continuous semi-flexible belt made of steel reinforced rubber fixed on the quay surface along one edge via a stainless-steel strip.
• The cable steel channel – a corrosion-resistant steel protection channel, cast in the quay, where cables are laid.

We also provide customised cable anchors to fit your needs and minimize the amount of cable required for your crane to travel
